The first time I heard the term "rock crusher" was in reference to the transmission in the 1967 L88 Corvette. Due to the low gear angle there is a fair amount of gear noise, really like a medium / heavy duty truck transmission. I am also on the hunt for an M20. I've got everything I need except a cluster gear. The ST-10 in the car has just a little more gear at a 2.64 first. But the Muncie should be a nicer shifting transmission, it'll be a little stronger than the ST, and it also won't be so noisy.
