DISCUSSION The mackintosh probe test was done until 2.1 meter depth of the soil. It took the steel cone 155 number of blows to reach the first 0.3 meter. This shows that the soil consistency is stiff. The penetration steel cone took 85 number of blows at 0.9m which is more than the second depth of penetration which was 135 number of blows at 0.6m depth.
